The woman, who runs a pathological laboratory at Asansol in partnership with a doctor, was dropped by him at Piyala Kalibari area at 12.50 am where her husband was waiting for her. Police said, the woman went to a toilet inside a nearby Kali temple where six miscreants caught hold of her and started misbehaving. On hearing her screams, the husband reached there but he too was held up by the miscreants, who beat him up. The doctor was also called in and he too was tied along with the woman’s husband as the miscreants gangraped her in front of them.
Later, the woman lodged a complaint with police.
Sunil Yadav, ADC, Asansol, said preliminary test has confirmed rape. No one was arrested till late Monday evening.
