Hrithik, Preity get best actor awards

Popular stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta bagged the best actor and best actress Stardust Awards respectively while senior Bollywood artists Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna were felicitated with special honours at a function in Mumbai.

Hrithik received the best actor award for Lakshya while Preity bagged the best actress award for her performance in Veer-Zara at the glittering function last night.

Yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna was awarded the ‘Pride of film industry award’ while actor Vinod Khanna was bestowed with a special honour as the ‘Role model for the year’.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali were awarded Stardust special award for film Black.

Abhishek Bachchan was honoured with ‘Star of the year’ award while Hum Tum director Kunal Kohli was given the ‘Hottest young film-maker award’.

The ‘Hottest film award’ went to Phir Milenge for its “different" theme.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar bagged the ‘Dream director award’ for his film Swades which is laced with patriotic fervour. Model-turned actress Koena Mitra was declared as the ‘New face of the year’ for her performance in

Musafir.
