Noted quiz master Derek O' Brien joined the Trinamool Congress saying he decided to take a plunge into politics inspired by party chief Mamata Banerjee.

“I was inspired by Mamata Banerjee's honesty and integrity,” O' Brien, who has conducted a number of popular quiz programmes in various TV channels, told reporters here.

Banerjee said O' Brien was taken into the party as a primary member and he would take charge of the Trinamool mouthpiece 'Jago Bangla'.
