Pak media being anti-India: J&K CM

Pakistan's radio and television continued with its anti-India propaganda despite an ongoing peace dialogue between the neighbours, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad alleged here today.

"Propaganda from across the border on Pakistan's radio and TV was continuing as usual without any change", Azad said during a seminar on 'Peace Process and Vision of Khushali'.

While appreciating Musharraf's efforts towards restoring peace in the region, Azad urged Pakistan television and radio to avoid spread of "venom and hatred" through its programmes.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh initiated the process of peace immediately after he assumed charge and it was warmly received by Musharraf, he said. "The General has ruled out independence and has joined the dialogue process," Azad said.

He expressed confidence that all complex issues could be sorted through talks.

After the success of the first roundtable conference in New Delhi, a subsequent Srinagar roundtable next month shall prove to be more fruitful, he said at the function to mark the conclusion of an eight-day peace march organised by Foundation for Peace and Social Justice and Friends Club of India in collaboration with the Department of Information and Public Relations.

Azad said there is a predominant desire in people forever lasting peace and accomplishment of the 'Vision of Khushali' (well-being) which would be possible when all ‘right thinking people’ came forward to strengthen the process.

"The nozzle of the gun and dreadful bullets have no scope in the atmosphere where people on their own are yearning for peace", he said.
