Film director Krishnan dead


CHENNAI, July 15: Film director Krishnan, part of the famous `Krishnan-Panju' duo of yesteryear, passed away here this morning. He was 89. The pair had directed over 50 films in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil, including such hits as `Parasakthi' and `Rathakanneer'. After the death of Panju some years ago, Krishnan had stopped directing films. He was the recipient of several awards, including the `Kalaimamani' award presented by the TN Government.
