On Tuesday, a day before the birthday of the sulking elder son, Union minister M K Alagiri, wall posters appeared in Chennai carrying his image. The posters reworked popular myths to drive home the message that Alagiri is still a force to reckon with though he may not have support of Karunanidhi — who had chosen younger son M K Stalin as the heir.
The party leadership has warned of strict action. “The posters that carry inappropriate words, under the guise of greeting south zone organising secretary M K Alagiri, seek to bring disrepute to the party. The party will find out who the persons involved are and would take strict action,” it said in a statement.
